Hey guys, just wanted to share the results of my recent range trip with my 9.3mm Husqvarna Model 46a. The first couple of range trips I loaded the Speer 270 grain hotcor bullets, and was getting decent groups with them, about 2" at 50 yds.
Then, after only a few days wait, my new NOE 280 gr. mould came in the mail. I proceeded to cast up a few of them, and was quite surprised. I am getting 1" groups now at 50 yds, which is much better than the Hotcor's, which have a reputation for being accurate bullets. These were cast with Lyman #2 and lubed with lyman magic orange. I sized them to .367, as my bore slugged out right at .366.
Using 30 grains of AA5744, I am averaging right around 1800 fps out of the 24" barrel. Going to try dropping the charge down a bit to 28.0 grains in my second batch to see if they'll do any better going a bit slower.
