Have an old Oehler Md 12 chronograph that I dug out of mothballs awhile ago and managed to blast one of the skyscreens. Course they aren't made in 20 odd years so I cobbled some parts together and restored it. Then thinking I don't wanna do that mistake again I hit on the idea of using a cheap laser to aid in lining things up. Couldn't bore a perfectly vertical hole with my primitive gear but got it shimmed with washers so the thing swings level and just set things up and everything worked, wonder of wonders. Table, sand bag box, and laser holder all built out of scrap wood, etc. It ain't pretty but it works!

many shoot their chronies, it seems, since Chrony sells ones that are "re-conditioned". I put an angled steel plate in front of mine. I've hit the plate once, long ago, when I didn't realize how MUCH an AR15's line of bore is below the line of sight. :-) wow.
