I have a great new product for you gentlemen. A few months ago I gave birth to the idea of vacuum sealing your precious molds in plastic bags using your wives' Seal-A-Bag from her kitchen. Realizing that most of you are so P-whipped you wouldn't dare use it without her permission and you're probably too afraid to ask, I have put together a kit to allow you to vacuum seal your molds without risking limb or financial ruin. For only $30 plus shipping I will send you a battery operated sealer, 17 one-quart bags big enough to seal 2 or 3 two cavity molds, and 9 one-gallon bags big enough to hold 2 or 3 four or six cavity molds. Without handles, of course. And the best part is the bags are re-usable! You can remove or replace a mold in a bag and simply re-seal it and vacuum the air out, good till the next time you use it. Hurry now, opening special, only $30 plus shipping. Aw, Hell, somebody would find out anyway... Go down to WalMart and buy the Reynolds Handi Vac for $8.48, a box of 14 one quart bags or 9 one gallon bags for $3 and you're good to go.

Don't forget the french fry maker! But it does sound like a good idea, throw in a small bag of dryer stuff (can't remember the name of it. having a brain fart). It should be good for long storage without having to oil them up.

On TV, they offer it with the Vegamatic, the Pocket Fisherman, too. Illuminated, Illustrated History of Life, Boxcar Willy, and a Ginsu knife. Egg Scramblers, a needle that will knit or crochet. And an all expenses paid weekend for two, at Six Flags over Burbank.

Thank you, Tom Paxton!

I have been using the wife's Foodsaver for that very purpose for a couple of years now. I wrap the mold in a couple layers of paper towel (so the corners don't puncture the bag) while still warm. It seems to work pretty well.

It appears that Ron Popeil is alive and well, and posting on cast boolits.

That was a joke. I bought the Reynolds Vacuum Sealer ($8.48) and two boxes of bags ($2.98 each) at WalMart. If you can't find them locally, and you really want them, I'll be glad to buy them here and ship them to you at cost, which would be about $24.

Scrounger and Hammerhead.

I guess I owe you both an apology.

When I read Scroungers first post, the Popiel pocket fisherman was the first thought I had followed by the ..but wait, if you call right now... ads.

I hope I haven't done anyone a disservice.

Well I went to a different Wal-Mart and found one. I think the language barrier may have been the problem at the first one and the fact that I didn't know where to look. At the first Wal-Mart the first salesperson looked at me like I had just arrived from some distant planet, the next sent me to the vacume cleaner isle and the last one sent me to the isle where the food savers were. Like I said I think it was the fact that the salespeople didn't understand me. Wes

You have to "PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH". It's that big button on the end of their nose!

My oldest daughter is a Wally World girl. She's rising fast through the cadre of other employees, most of whom I've arrested of know of from various shady dealings. Now you know why she's a rising star! And yes, English is her first language.:drinks:

Bret where I am Spanish speaking people are the large majority by a huge margin, and a lot of them speak little or no english.

I wish your daughter luck, I do know that if a person will work at Wal-Mart they can advance and retire with a large sum of money in the bank if they can handle the stress and the hours.

Also some of the customers that I have observed would make me want to slap the crap out of them.. Wes

WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!!

Wally World is reading this thread! When I went to my local store last night (southern Indiana) the vac price was $9.48. Bags were "only" $2.84 @. As others have reported, nobody knew where they were. They were in the aisle with TP and Reynolds products (foil, bags, etc.)

You know, that would be a heck of a lot cheaper than what Undertakers charge these days!

(Be nice to your Undertaker; he'll be the last to let you down..)
