View Full Version : Another take on work areas

Ben's threads about improving his work area prompted me to post a couple of pics and the improved work area I did for a good friend of mine a Gun maker. I made him cabinet storage, racks for his parts and a couple of bench tops to work on. The one pic was taken before the top was made. I also made him gun racks as he often has 150 guns or so in for repairs or being built. I also added a second floor to his building and built him the loading room cabinets and tops. A fully loaded Dillion 650 sits in the tall area between the cabinets on one end. He can cast at the other with a window fan. I did everything in the rooms in my spare time including re-drywalling the walls tiling the floor and a new ceiling. Took awhile but it worked out nice. Of course he recently asked for some more gun racks for display of for sale guns...lol....but I can't complain....he builds me guns.

Very nicely done. That's really something that will make your friend be able to enjoy his gunsmith business to the fullest.
