Been working on a load for the VZ52 7.62x45 I traded for, was getting a little frustrated with it all. But ordered a 160gr LEE mold that was for the 7.62x39 round and powder coated the boolits and it shot fine well not great but 1.25" at 50 yards. The last i tried a shotgun would have been ashamed of the pattern. Was going to put it up for sale but will keep it now.

I tried reloading cast for Semi few times and failed every time.Too many factors affecting accuracy me thinks.

Good for you-what did you load it with?

With the good results many of us have obtained with conventionally-lubed bullets from semi-autos, and the difficulties with accuracy related on the powder-coating forum, it may be the powder-coating that's giving problems.

If possible, a try with lubed bullets (with no other changes) may give better results. It would certainly be an interesting comparison. Just clean that barrel well before the experiment....

1.25" is a very respectable group, though.

The VZ52 is a neat rifle. I had one for a while but never could find any boxer primed brass so it got traded to a non-reloader.

Thanks Bruce I will try regular lube and see if it works better. The PC boolits work OK and the accuracy is better with the RL15, but only had a small amt but got some IMR3031 at the gun show will let you know how it does.
