Folks,

while i was sick, My family cleaned up my computer desk......i had compiled a pretty nice set of notes for the Lee 310gr .430 GC for pistol and rifle loads and they are gone!
Could any one who uses this boolit list their loads...... i want to compile that list again

Thanks

18.5 grains of H110 is most accurate load I have ever shot out of a Ruger SRH.

If I remember correctly (check The load data) one can go up to 21.5, but they spread out as I went above 18.5.

About 1100 fps in 9.5 inch SRH

I use 17.0gr 2400, WLP primers with that boolit seated long, and I use 20.5gr LilGun also. This gets me about 85% of the max pressure, 1150-1180fps from a 7 1/2" SBH. Definitely not a max load but a really good deer load.

Heavy dose of h110 any where from 18-20ish I've had good luck with.

Per 44man's advice, which I have followed and found to work good for me in this post http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?132514-310-gr-GC-and-h110
"The Lee 310 shoots the best for me with 21.5 gr of 296 and a Fed 150 primer. H110 should work the same."

I said in the same thread: "I used his advice a coulple of years ago for my Ruger SBH, using 296 powder and a Fed150 primer and had good results. Then I stepped my load from lower than 21.5 gr to higher, and could clearly see the groups close most at 21.5 and start to open again as I went higher. As I recall, 21.5 was giving me about 1380 fps with the 310 gr Lee boolit. If I choose to shoot more than 12 of these, I find myself reaching for my glove."

In the same thread, TCLous said "Lee C 429-310 and 18.5 is the most accurate load I have ever shoot out of my Super Redhawk. at 50 yards, I shot up to 21.5, but 18.5 was most accurate."

Also, I posted target pics in a different thread showing that my groups were best at both 18.5 grains, and 21.5 grains of 296, with a Fed 150 primer. I was looking for a full house load and settled on 21.5 with slightly tighter groups, but 18.5 seemed to have almost the same accuracy.

I used 24.5grs of WC680 as my plinking load with this boolit. Was just under 1,100 fps and very accurate. Shot an elk with this load at 75 yards and it went right thru. Recoil is a little slower than with the faster powders like 296. Was easy to hit milk jugs at 200 yards with it.

I use 14.5 gr 2400 in my 77/44 at around 1270 fps. It kills deer really good.

I am using 20.5 grains of H110 behind a Lee 310 grain cast boolit. Shoots well in my Marlin 1894. Wish I knew the velocity. Best I can tell, it should be around 1600-1650 fps. Just guessing.
