I have the press and a bunch of bushings plus a faded bushing chart. It works great but I had to adjust it by feel and memory from when Dad and I had one like it back in '72. Just want to make sure it's adjusted right and for that I'd like to read the instructions.

Right amount of right kind of powder, right number of BB's, right wads, shells feed right, gun goes bang like it's supposed to and hasn't flown apart yet, but clay targets don't always break. Must be something wrong with the reloader.

Hi,
They are pretty much just like a MEC!

I like the progressives that Texan makes (made)!

Here's what I have--$50. It came with a wrench,2 crimp dies,6 and 8 point.Bushings---4x,6 and 8. B,C,D,E,G,J and R. I could use a manual (like everyone else) and a 1 oz shot bushing. Anything else that might be of use.Just recently developed an interest in shot shell reloading.128615128616

Not a lot of help probably, but the only reference to an FW that I could find a chart on.

There is a progressive press at steves.com that shows some bushings, but they don't correlate to my powder FW bushings. Mine are 110,122,126,130, 2X, 4,3X, & 6; 2X is 7/8ths, 3 is 1oz, 4X is 1 1/8 oz, and 6 is 1 1/4oz shot; according to the chart here.

I have an NR Davis double that I dove hunt with.Just a fine old gun.I've managed to get 2 good manuals,so if'n I can get the right bushings and info on the press,I'll be set. I've decided on a Green Dot load with 7800psi,the gun should hold to that.

I found my stash of Texan FW info. You'll need a #3 shot bushing for 1oz. loads. As far as the powder charge bushing, that's going to be a problem because it's totally dependent upon which shotshell hull you choose to use. As far as dropping 20.5 of Green Dot, it's #133 powder bushing. So, first thing first is a reloading manual, the older the better and I suggest the Lyman manual. Reason I say the "older the better" is that a newer manual will have lots of information you won't be able to use since the Texan info only covers Older Powders. At any rate, I will get you a copy of the bushing chart and I also found my original Model FW Assembly Instructions and parts list.

Great! I have a #2X, #3 shot bushing, and a #7. In powder bushings, I have a H and a #142. These were from an estate and aren't in the best condition, but certainly usable.
I'll get the paperwork scanned and added to this topic later today.
