Not sure if many of you have seen that little sizer. I first saw it a while back I think in an issue of Precision Shooter and thought "Oh neat" but didn't think much more of it. After looking at what brass is to replace what I'm sitting on I think it just might be worth while. Plenty of testimonials and it seems in theory it SHOULD work and you still have to worry about case head seperation but reliability is incresed. My only belted mag right now is .458 Win Mag.....but more probably will come along :drinks:

Get it. Use it. You'll love it. Once you get the hang of it, you won't even consider reloading without it. I do .458 Lott, .458 Win Mag., and .375 H&H and it is well worth the cost.

I have been shy of belted cases because of the belt issue. I saw this product awhile ago, but was cautiously skeptical. Nice to hear some good feedback from people here having used it. Still don't think I'm going to get a gun that uses a belted case though, but it is good to know that if I do that this product will work.

I know it REALLY depends on how hot you push the loads and the tolorances of your chamber but how many more loads do you think you get out of your brass with this?

well before i got the sizer 3 loadings and i had troble chambering after full length sizeing, just couldn't push the case into the die far enough to size in front of the belt now i'm on the 10th loading and still going don't have to use the die for every loading!

Understood, if you used this with a necked case would it require being run through that the neck die as well? :coffee:

Wonderwolf,
Yep. This just does the body. I still size the case, too.

So on a straight wall like a .458 win mag it would require 4 die steps

Midway carries (or carried, anyway) this die. With the cost of (and relative scarcity of ) .257 Weatherby and .458 Lott brass, I believe I'll invest in one.

Wonderwolf,
yep. I clean the brass, check for problems, cut over-all length, lube, use the saver, wipe 'em clean, lube as needed and start the sizing / loading procedure. Unless you shoot .458 Win Mag like light .38 WC's in volume, it's not an arduous task.
