I bought a 5gal bucket of WW ($20) with about 1 to 2% trash (nails, valve stems etc not counting clips) the bucket was more than I could pick up with my bad back so one of the guys put it in my pickup. I unloaded it a coffee can at a time but have been wondering how much weight I got. In other words how many pounds of pure WW should I get from a 5gal bucket?

Usually somewhere in the 100-120 pound mark. More than I can lift alone. I pulled a groin muscle some years ago and I am good for up to about 50 pounds- 75 in a crunch. After that it causes a twinge that I can't ignore. It's not a hernia so I'm not going to have them cut me open, but it is a hassle at times.

I consistantly run right at 100lbs of clean ingots from a 5 gallon bucket full of WWs. Now that includes all trash and other junk in there so if the bucket were actually 100% WWs the total would likely go closer to 120lbs.

There are 5 gal buckets and 6 gallon buckets. The heaviest I have run about 140 lbs. the lightest was 95. Some of it depends on the size of the weights and therefore the air in between them. Gianni

135 to 140 LBS brim full of WW's is what I get.

It varies depending on how much "junk" is included - I see full 5 gal pails weighing in the 125-150lb range. The resulting WW ingots run about 275lbs for a full 5 gal pail (that's how I store mine), so my experience has been about two full pails of raw WW yields one full pail of processed WW ingots.

120# plum full is average and 150# heaping is my tops. I use a refrigerant scale that goes to 176# to weigh them when "gathering" from the tire shops.

I used to figure 100 to 115 depending on how full the bucket was. Kinda lean right now haven't gotten a full bucket in awhile.

120-150 lbs for a full bucket of wheel weights . . ?

No wonder I felt like a sissy carrying the last one to my truck with one hand!
It was completely full, and it had very little junk in it this time.
Actually, I only carried it across the shop and halfway around the building.
Then reality dawned on me that throwing my back out(I have a trick back) would be a stupid thing to do when my truck could come to the lead much easier.
Here I was thinking I was just getting puny in my old age.

Yall must be finding bigger WWs than me, but in allhonesty my figure of 100lbs was based on the actual number of boolits cast and their weight out of several buckets.
