Hi Guys,
Where can I get a well-made ladle for pouring ingots since the gentleman from NH has ceased production?
Thanks for any info!

I use several different sizes of Rowell ladles for smelting and ingot production.

I have a Rowell #1 and a # 7. When I get another, it will be a#5 as the #7 is too big for me to use at full capacity.

Yep, the Rowell bottom pour ladle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe I have the #2 and use it for all my casting!
My side pour Lyman styles just set in a box collecting dust.
Tried one when I first started casting the 465gr for my 45/70 and SOON was back to the Rowell.
Don't have one for smelting, but smelted for the first time in years a month or so ago, and after that 5 session project, won't need to smelt again for years!
So, just use an old typical open side pour ladle and it now is back in the box also collecting dust.
But for boolit casting, YES, the Rowell bottom pour!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the smelting pots, I use a heavy SST kitchen ladle I got at a junk store. Works GREAT and holds almost 5# of lead. Look around!
On the VERY RARE occasion I do ladle cast boolits, I use the Lyman bottom/side pour CI ladle. Works great and holds enough lead to do six 200gn 45's at a time. I normally use my bottom pour 4-20 pots.

Anything with a metal handle...casting should be as painful, and take as long as possible for the greatest rewards!
