I have that mould and the boolits shoot as nice as they look. They feed awesome in my AR and my Encore loves them.

I like that design. I've seen some .30 cal and 9mm dies that come with a pin to either make it a fp or a hp, does this one come with an option like that?

Not sure about the HP option, but I am sure Sweede could figure something out for you. I am getting good function and accuracy in my 20" AR with IMR4064 and Varget, no leading. Putting on those little gas checks can be a bit challenging though!

I'm starting to build up for my 16" AR. So I've retooled my moulding process and need a mould for my AR(among others) and have been looking here for one I like that; may just have to buy it in the next month or so. I've seen lots of ppl here boost about NOE.

I've been ES powder coating everything for the past year, with the 5.56 being my primary reason for doing so. The regular lubed boolits shoot well from my Mini 14 and AR, but PCd boolits shoot better. The PC seems to prevent the minor nose deformation I was getting without. Besides, they look pretty!

What velocities are you getting? That info will be added to the database I am collecting for PC at high velocities.

I do 223's and 30's but typically at ~1,500FPS with no problems.

May have to pony up some $ for a NOE
If possible can you send me some of this bullets so I can test the fiction on my ARs and bolt action ?

Question about powder coat bullets. Is it a viable for use on bullet forms without grease grooves?

I like the looks of the OPs boolits more than the Lee Bator I have. I may have to purchase another mold for my AR, even though the Bator and my Lyman 45gr RN both shoot good out of it.

I can't find the problem... the mold is casting very good round at .225 and I do size it to .225 after all the PC work and they still get the bullets squeeze in the the barrel and most don't feef all the way in ..
my OAL is as low as 2,040 and is not working.
What OAL are you using ?

It is the hard-core olde-school grease lubers that may say that. I have hear it said. Many of us that used to use standard lubes have moved on and now use PC with great success.

It is hard to replace WELL over a 150+ years of "doing it this way only" with a technology we have developed and improved in about a year on here without some slings and arrows.

If you had $500-800 sunk into grease machines and lubes, you might say that also!

I prefer the clean no-leading PC approach. And I like my boolits! And for those that are worried about personal lead contamination, once coated, there is no contact to lead when handling. And your hands are not sticky and greasy.

PC, like grease, may not be for everybody. Do what ever floats you boat!!!!

I have the Lee Bator mold in 6 cavity, the original round nose, and now there is the round flat nose, similar in nose shape to my 30 cal round flat nose. anyone shot the new one yet? If so, how would you compare them?

There was just an article in the "Fouling Shot" on cast boolit accuracy. They were saying that there have been no increases in accuracy for some time. We have probably hit the limit of accuracy with pig fat lubed bullets. I have been doing PC for a few months now and am impressed with the results.
