???

I'm confused, shouldn't this be in the S&S section? Maybe I'm just not one of the cool kids. :D

Whow. Only $76.90 per 500. I think I will stick with 38 special, thank you.

Me too.

One can shoot .38's and .45's for pennies.

I thought the prices had started to drop? Jeez! that's about .15/rd. I can load my .45s for .07/rd, and my .32s for about .05/rd. They are making our decisions easy. mikey

When someone buys some of these, they will only be perpetuating the problem.

I quit shooting my 22 rifle and pistol until this BS is over. I'm not feeding the frenzy...

When I run out of 22 LR bullets, I will get rid of all of my 22 RF guns unless the price of ammo has dropped back to the old norm.

I'm thinking maybe the OP is referring to the WW HE 37 grain segmented bullet @ 1400+ FPS. I bought some for $6.99 per 50 recently. I shot some Ground Squirrels with them and wasn't really impressed. Maybe they need to hit more body mass to do their thing.

I stopped at the local Farm & Barn this evening. I always check the rimfire shelf when I go there and once in a blue moon I get lucky. Today was my day - I scored a bucket of Remington "Golden Bullet" HPs. Fourteen hundred rounds for $69.99 plus tax.
<
I don't particularly care for Remington's bulk ammo - I've had better luck with Blazers or Federals but in times like these a man can't be too particular. They'll make acceptable plinking ammo for the boys. Call me a low-down hoarder if it makes you feel better, but I took 'em home and put 'em on the shelf. I don't let long rifles go by too often these days.
<
I hope my finding that ammo on the shelf is a sign of loosening in the market but I doubt it. It seems things are still as tight as ever in the rimfire supply line - at least around here.
