Rain of boolits today, the RCBS mold was chugging right along. 216 boolits total.

Issues with the molds, I will stop using Brakleen, it seems to be leaving a wet residue. My guess is that any oil or lube runs out of the cavities, then out onto the mold faces. During casting, that residue gets heated up and spreads in all directions. When I finish smoking my mold, I can see what looks to be a moist residue.

Dawn dish detergent/ hot water/ old tooth brush
Why in the world would you want to smoke an RCBS Iron mold ??
I have used every conceivable oil to lubricate a mold in between casting, Whatever is close to me at the time.
None has stood up to the dawn and hot water, dry, Pr-heat and cast.
You may want to try it as it does indeed work. I find the less I fuss with a mold the better they cast.
Now that is just what I do, naturally you need to do what works for you.
Oh ! And BTW, nice bullets, enjoy shooting them
