M1A and CBs?

Gentlemen,

I have a Springfield Armory M1A NM. In the this groups vast experience would you shoot CB in this rifle. I have this plaguing fear that it will lead up the gas cylinder and the manual states not to pull the plug to clean the chamber. Does anyone own one and shoot CB? What been your experiences?

Shoot CB all the time in my WWII Springfield Garand never had a lead problem up to 2200 fps.
