My Handmade Carry Rig!

I've been carrying this rig almost everyday since January and thought I'd share a pic here. It's built with two layers of layer so it's smooth inside and out, I've also found this method tends to allow less moisture to reach the gun. This one is a strait drop and also has elephant trim, with a metal reinforcement for easy reholstering.

Great lookin' rig.....wish I had your talent to make a rig like that ....the only change that I would make, for me, is a strap between the slide and the hammer.....carried 1911 on duty for a lot of years and when I started it was required.....like I said for me....you did an outstanding job!

I'm working on a new one now kinda reminiscent of the old Gaylord Speed Scabbards. I almost have my design finished I'll do a fancy version to show off at gunshows and post a pic here!
