So I just slugged the bore on my new 44 mag super blackhawk. The cylinder throats slugged at .432 and the bore at .430. So would I get a .431 sizing die?

I've had best luck when the throat is filled - what size does your mold drop them at and with which alloy?

I actually haven't received my mold yet. Should I wait and cast some boolits first before deciding on a die size?

I would say a .432 is in order, a nice push through snug fit is nice.

That would be my plan - you can alter the size they drop some by changing the alloy. Lots of molds drop small in my experience - who's mold did you order?
Other thought is if you drop small then you can powder coat instead of lube and that will add maybe 0.002" to it

It's an mp mold. The #503 clone. Will be casting with wheel weights and probably water dropping them
