Seems that the .445SM is not a SAAMI cartridge, so no data on 2400. Looking for ideas, figured I'd start with .44Mag loads and sneak up from there. Been using 5744 but getting a little low. Not concerned with nuclear loads, just want to come up with something accurate using 245 and 265gr cast. GW

This site offers good info on loads for the .445 Super Mag... http://www.sixguns.com/tests/tt445sm.htm

with 2400 being a pretty versatile and stable powder i'd be pretty comfortable working up based on 44 mag loads.
i worked my unique loads in the 445 based off 44 mag loads and case volume.

Tried a middle of the road magnum load pushing a 245gr GG boolit, got just under 1" group at 50yds. Me happy now, bet I can do better. GW

My experience with the 445 showed me that slow pistol powders are not the way to go, fast rifle powders work well. The best I used was WW680, with AA1680 a close second.
