Crosman 400 (JC Higgins)

This is an old Crosman 400 that came from my grandfather. It looks to have been made in the early 1960's. It had some surface rust and a worn finish on the stock. I slow rust blued the barrel and used Oxphoblue on the other parts. I stripped the stock and went with six costs of Fromby's Tung Oil. It still hold air and shoots nice. I hope to find some scope mounts and put a scope on it sometime.107071

Real nice looking gun. You can buy seal kits for those and every other kind of airgun these days. Just look on Fleabay or the Crosman airgun forum http://www.network54.com/Forum/275684/ or one of the others. The "Green" forum sees to be a real good place.
