Interesting! ANy other information? Like how does it shoot?

The only other info was the owner had it a long time (20 years) trying to get provenance from Iran.
He finally got that information and put it on Gun Broker. It sold in the mid 5s as in about $5500.
You can search Persian Mauser .22 and find other photos under images. They will eventually take you to threads that discuss the rifle. Like the M22 Springfield it locks up with just the safety lug.

You can see from the photos that all you need is a Mauser and a spare bolt to modify. Once you have the modified bolt anyone could install a .22 rimfire barrel.
