While at a yard sale I purchased a set of OHAUS bullet mold handles in the org. box that states they will fit all OHAUS mold blocks, single, double, and 4 cavaty. Although they appear as though they have never been used I'm sure that they must have been made back in the 1960s or maybe earlier. The org. price sticker on the box is for $3.95. I'm not up on OHUAS cast equipment and know that they make scales for several other brand names of reloading equipment. Would like to hear some history about the casting equipment that OHAUS made in the past. What happened to the OHAUS line of casting equipment.

They should closely resemble RCBS handles, mine do. I have a couple Ohaus molds and one set of handles. My handles also fit Lyman DC molds.

So did RCBS pick up Ohaus casting equipment and now produce the molds and handles? I know that someone did, or must have.

It is my understanding that RCBS did just that.

Gesser, Got any idea of when that happened? The price of $3.95 on the price sticker leads me to believe it must have been back in the 60s that the handles I have we for sale.

I don't know. The handles I have came mounted with a Lyman DC 429421 and then I picked up the two Ohaus molds later. That was in the early 80's.

I have an OHAUS 756 bullet mold in 30-220-S with the handles. I haven't been able to find much on the their products but I figured I could shoot the 220 gr. pills out of my .30-40 Krag.
It would be nice to find out more about the Company.
