A teaser photo I took today for you that are looking, However they are quite proud on the pricing, $186.00 per jug.

That is all.

It would be 248 for 8 pounds here buying it by the pound, IF they would sell you 8 pounds, 3 is the most we can hope for.

It is nice to see it even comes in a jug any more. lol

Trust me, I was surprised to see this, They have other powders in stock, Just not a lot of the more popular ones.

One of our two places that sells powder looked like that the other day, except with 4350. I bet they got fifty pound or more in, but no other flavor. lol

I got a deal for 5 - 1 pounders of 4895 a couple months ago from a "guy" who has a new hobby. $10 per pound. He needed the money to become a woman! Apparently needed more wigs and high heeled shoes. I got 2 - 3 pounders of 231 as well for the same price per pound. I was so freaked out I didn't notice one of the 3 pounders was only half full! Still a good deal!

And??????
I paid $200 apiece for the ones I bought. I was not happy about no price break for the eight pounders. But I bought them and have been shooting it up ever since. Powder averages $25 a pound here so I just didn't get a break for bulk purchase. $186 doesn't seem high to me.

Man, I hate that some on here are paying premium prices, This shop is the only rodeo in town and the locals consider them to be the highest on everything, I see now that perhaps their pricing may be fair? Just nice that some powder is showing up.

Their 22lr starts at 6.95 per 50 round box, This is the Aguila

Not a bad price! Most suppliers want more than that for it plus you have to pay Haz-mat $28.50

$186 isn't a bad price nowadays. Only $16 above some dealers , and thats before hazmat and shipping, so good price

Where I get powder over in Idaho they want about $25 per 1lb can of 4895. They seem to have plenty in 1lb cans but no 8lb jugs ever in the last year or so. I use 4895 for all my rifles from 223 to 45-70 so I am constantly buying it. I get 1 to 2lbs a month of it, each time I pass through Idaho. I usually pick up 1lb of 4895 and one of 4227 or H110. If I could buy in bulk for any of those I would do so but I haven't seen any of them in bulk in at least a year or more.

I just made another pass this am thru the same place, They now have 12 8# jugs on the shelf, If any of you local boys are looking.

Also the clerk had a shopping cart of unboxed powder he was starting to put out.

Things are looking good here in the south, Later friends

Shooter's is the most expensive place for just about anything gun related. Frank

My normal price before the craziness was $160/8.

What price would be "normal"?

I settled on IMR 4895 many years ago. It's THE rifle powder for me without question. Fortunately, it seems to be somewhat available around here, which is more than I can say about shotgun/pistol powders.
$23.25/lb. of 4895 isn't that bad considering the current climate.

Now if I could just find some 231/WSF/Unique.......
