Does anyone have a handbook that has load data for 250gr PB hard cast RNFP out of a 454 using IMR-4227 and small rifle primers?

I am thinking 27gr is probably a good place to start but I'd like to find a load book that has info on it to back me up so I don't start in the wrong place.

The bullets are Oregon Trail hard cast bullets and they don't lead using H110 at 34.5gr for a hot 1750fps that makes your hand smart, so I am not worried about them leading/gas cutting I am just looking for a good mid-range load with these bullets somewhere in the 1,100 - 1,300fps range if possible in a 454 case not a 45 colt case.

The 4th edition of the Lyman cast bullet handbook shows the following loads for a .454 Casull:
w/ Lyman 452490 bullet - 255 grs

IMR4227
Starting loads 29.4 grs. vel 1400
Maximum load 31.0 vel 1483

Thank you! So from that data it looks like 4227 doesn't like air space and 29.4 is about as low as you can go volume wise. I'll look up that bullet and see if my bullet's size from base to crimp groove is about the same.

Does it have 4227 data for 454 and the 452664 mold?

A friend and I was shooting his FA model 83 loaded with 452424's and 24 gr. of IMR-4227 for 1,250 fps, chrono'd in 454 brass. Very pleasant, we got into a little shoot off and ended up shooting one handed with that load and it was still very controllable.

Been using up my supply of 4227 lately. Out of most everything else. Last week lucked into an 8# keg of IMR4227 at Powder Valley. It'll be my goto for a while in 357, 41 and 44, maybe 45. Unless this powder shortage disappears, which it don't look like. Anyway, 4227 is a good casefiller in both senses of the word. Sure don't go as far as Bullseye, though.

Tested 27gr IMR-4227 tonight with CCI small rifle primers, and 250gr hard cast PB RNFP boolits (.452). I tested them out of a 2" 454 Casull. I need to paper test this load but the milk jugs and clay clods I was shooting were telling me the load is very accurate out of the 2" @ 25 - 50 yards. Felt recoil was about like a stiff 45 Colt load out of a 5" - 6.5" Ruger. All the powder was burned and it did not seem nearly as dirty as some of my H110 loads get. No leading but I never have had any with these boolits. Very pleasant to shoot, even out of the 2". I will make up 20 more of them today or tomorrow and get some paper groups. Depending on what felt recoil is in my 6.5" Casull I may work up from there if accuracy isn't as tight as it should be but if it is this would be quite a pleasant load to shoot in the 454. I will see if I can get some speed data as well with these but I will have to borrow a chrono to do that. I will report back when I have more info.
