Gentlemen,

I have a worn out Lyman 450 lubrisizer I'd like to find a replacement for. It's a mid-80's vintage, done thousands of bullets. I'm no machinist, so fabricating a new ram or reboring & bushing the casting isn't in the cards.

I also have 2 Stars, & 1 Saeco that are my staple tools.

I'm wanting to replace the Lyman either with a new Lyman 4500 or an RCBS unit, only to have another means of a different lube ready to go. In this case the lube will be BAC.

Any advice on which of the two would be your preference?

All of my sizer dies are Lymans, except for two that are RCBS. I assume the Lymans are functional in the RCBS unit as well as the top punches?

Any particular dislikes / weaknesses of either tool?

Thanks for your input,

RCBS, if anything but for the Customer Service!

This! (since you already have 2 Stars)

The lyman TP's and dies fit the RCBS.

I just bought my second 4500, getting good service out of both. New one was missing a part but it was in the mail a few days later.

I'd go RCBS as well, since you already have the two major players already.

It's just plan better built than the Lyman, the customer service is just Gravy.

RCBS for sure...customer service.

It would just seem logical to have another unit which would allow the use interchangeably of dies that you already have. You've got good stuff now. LLS
