I've been using Lee Cowboy bullets with good success, but am looking to try something different and have been intrigued by the Lee 358 140 SWC. Has anyone tried it? Better yet, has anyone experimented with both?

Thanks,

That's a very nice looking bullet, and it's available in six-cavity molds too. I may have to get one myself.

I've always been curious if the meplate is enough for use in a lever action. It's not pointed but it's awful small at the tip.

You guys think this could work in 9mm also?

Its an awesome bullet! I still like the discontinued 150gr SWC better, but its a very close second I have to admit.

I wonder about the bullet in levers as well.

Use a six cavity model in my Rossi. Feeds fine in 38 and 357. The six cavity spits them out almost as fast as the Rossi.

It looks like a longer version of the 105gr swc. I've been using the 105gr in my 20" Rossi for light loads for my kids. It feeds them great in either 38 or 357 brass. The meplat on my 105grs measure .185" with my calipers vs .175" for the primer.

My Rossi likes the old Lee 150 gr. better. Lee made a mistake when they discontinued it. The 150gr works great out of my 6" S&W 586, too.

With some of the posts I've seen, I've been thinking of getting their 125gr rf for the Rossi.

Fantastic bullet in the .38 Spl and .357 magnum...use a Lyman 402 TP and seating screw to size/seat.. Is as accurate as a 148 WC, but will stay stable at longer ranges.
