Had the 1500 out at the range and did some ladder testing. Found out that the .308 really likes the 175 gr. bullet mold that Tom @ Accurate made me. This was the best out of the 6 different loads that I tried. Now to load up some more and try at 100! PS.. Don't look at your target using a spotting scope until you are done! Last shot flier.

My Weatherby is nothing more than a relabeled Howa 1500.

What boolit are you using? Is it listed on Toms list of drawings? I'd love to look at it.
Also, what powder/charge are you running?

Looks awesome.

31-175R mold number. 21 gr of 2400. Boolit seated out to touch lands by driving bands as this is a bore rider design. Rifle is a 1-10 twist. Am not sure about velocity, but guess about 1800 fps.

Is your Weatherby a wood stock or plastic? How does it shoot?

Plastic stock. It shoots fair. Not as good as I would like. I've done a bit of leg work figuring it out. I think I'm close. I've had groups as little as .500 for 5 shots at 50 yards so it's NOT the rifle so much as me and just the right load.

I've been working with some donated accurate 31-165A boolits and they do pretty well.
