It made me look back at modern air rifles, and though a .45 cal with 200 ft/lbs doesn't seem like much at all it sure does a number on things!

Another video I saw of this said that the buttstock/reservoir was riveted together, and then all the seams were soldered to seal them. Even then, they were somewhat fragile. mikey

I also have to wonder if any of those were used during the Civil War, there had to be a few of them still floating around the country.
