Barrel reboring?

I have a barrel from a 1909 Argentine that I would like to rebore to .375. Who does this at a reasonable price other than JES? I found several places on a google search, but, I could buy a new barrel for their prices. Thanks for any help. mikey

JES is probably gonna be your best bet. I don't know if Norm Johnson is still doing it or not.

JES has been declining a lot of mil surp barrels. Must be a concern over the metal used. I know he's none too keen on Mosins, probably because God only knows what kind of metal is in those things.
I was seriously considering a rebore on an Arisaka but I'm going to call him and see if he will do it before I trade for the gun.

Could be all the holes drilled into the barrel. Boring them out would almost break through into the holes if not actually breaking through.

Sent off a query to one place. All the rest I looked at were 250-350 to rebore. When I get a reply from that shop, if the price is about the same as the others, I'll just go with a Lothar Walther barrel in a Mauser Sporter barrel profile. I've gotten a barrel from then before, and they do nice work. Oh, well. So much for my economy rifle project. mikey

Please let us know what your recon is. I'd like to know what the delta is between re-boring an existing barrel verses re-barreling a rifle. My guess is that there's a lot of labor involved in a re-bore. Please advise.
