Finally got out today I am working on a 7mm 08 savage Tried 2 different boolits 150 gr loveren style which is a little long for the throat of my rifle gc is below the base of the neck shot 24 gr 4320, 4895, and 4064 results were not what I was hoping for 2" plus at 100 yrds I am going to bump 1/2 gr and reshoot we'll see.
Also shot 135 gr lee rngc 22gr 4320,4895,and 4064 4320 shot 1 1/2 4895 was 3/4" until the last shot and I had a flier ( other words the dummy behind the stock did not do his job ) pushed out to 1 3/8 4064 shot 15/16 these are all 100 yrds 5 shot groups all boolits were heat treated and TL with Alox chrony said we were in the 1700 fps range
will definitely reshoot as shot and will bump them up .5 gr
any body else playing with 7mm 08?
