I started casting with a Lee TL-314-90-SWC in early 2012 for a Omark 308. Over the last two years I have absorbed a great deal mostly from this website.
Today I shot my first sub-MOA cast bullet load which I am very proud of. I have jacketed sub-MOA loads however the cast loads eluded me.
105947
I think I'll have a beer - matter of fact I'm already having one as I write this.
Just in case you think this is a fluke, here is another, not quite as small group shot today as well:
105949
The only unfortunate thing is that I don't know velocity as I have loaned my chrongraph to a friend. The last load I have velocity for was 40.5grains for 1812fps so the 42.0grain load is slightly north of that. I will confess the rifle is a part of accuracy like this. It is a custom M70 supergrade, re-barrelled by Queensland gunsmith Allan Swan with a lovely heavy barrel, sweet trigger and was shot off sand bags.
Next job is to try some softer loads for hunting, ACWW and 50:50, if I get accuracy then I'm go to go for a hunting load.
