I have always enjoyed your videos. Great shooting too. Loved hearing the cardinal in the background between shots.

That is a dream place to be able to walk out the door and shoot. Very nice.

It is a local club/range about 25 minutes from the house. I used to be a member there years ago.

I let my membership lapse there, and then joined another club.

While I was away, they built a cowboy action shoiting range down below this hill. So I am still
Not a member, but they let non-members shoot there for $10 each time. So where I was shooting at in that video was on one of the cowboy bays.

I had the whole place to myself. :)

It's probably around here some where...maybe in the shed...but when I was shooting steel challenge type matches...I had "engineered" this blue poly tarp. Ya know how they have grommets around the perimeter. I added even more grommets, then took a thin rope and wove in and out through the grommets. My buddies and I would show up to a stage, I will get the tarp situated just so, and flat. Then everbody's brass would land on the tarp. We would get done shooting that stage, then I would grab the loose ends of the rope, and cinch it down tight. I'd throw the "bag" over my shoulder. I probably looked like Santa Claus. And then headee to the next stage/bay. Rinse, repeat.

At the end of the match, we would get together in the shade, carefully lay the tarp flat and gather up the brass into buckets. Then we used those shell shorter trays to get the 9mm's, the .40's, and the .45's all divi'ed up.

When I have practiced at this other range, I used to back my truck up and stand just in the right spot for the brass to land in the pick up's bed.

In the video, I was in a rush, so I just left the brass.

I am going to take some stuff to the powder coaters. Probably do another video of those targets being put together and/or shot at.

Then I have some clay bird holders that a local place plasmaCAM'ed for me.

And then I have some 6 inch by 6 inch plates I need to do something with.

Unfortunately, that place doesn't let you shoot long guns down there. So I guess I will try busting the clays with my .22LR, while they are in their steel stationary holders.

That was good shooting. I also like the tarp (and mods), that sounds like a very good idea.

There is the "Brass Magnet" but at $130, it ain't cheap.

http://brassmagnet.com/

Then there are the "pecan picker uppers":

http://leemfgco.com/Item/pecan-broom-pecan-picker-upper

That's $60.

Which is probably the same thing as the brass wizard here:

http://www.uniquetek.com/site/696296/product/T1310

For $57

Although I don't know how well they will work on taller grass.

The videos on youtube show them working well on something flat like a concrete floor, but that is what a broom and dustpan is for???

Was there a second shot on the right hand target in the IDPA tac sequence. If so, you are very quick; if not I would have to give you a procedural. :)

I respectfully disagree ... a cool fall morning when you hear the thwack of a bullet hitting a deer's heart area

Oh, yeah, I fired a second shot in that 1, 1, 2, 1, 1 sequence, and they both hit.
