i have a question for all of you. i bought a lee 358 158 swc mold and i have a nice pile of boolits but i am struggling with my sizer. how do you go from a lee boolit to a lyman top punch. i ordered a top punch for lymans 158 swc and it is close but not close enough. the meplate on the lee looks to be .060 to .080 bigger. i tried a couple just playing around and it wont lock into the top punch so the boolits went into the sizer on a angle. any of you run into this, and how did you fix it.

In the past I have chucked the top punch in a drill and used a small file to open up the top punch till it fits the boolit nose. I have also used epoxy to mold the shape of the bullet nose in the top punch, that way if you get rid of the boolit mould or quit using it a little heat will remove the epoxy and you are back to square one.

For SWC or any flat nose you can use a small bolt with a flat head.

Hot melt glue, epoxy, or aluminum foil can all serve to make a quick custom nose punch out of some other punch you have on hand.
