Encore 45-70

Hello guys,

Have any of you shot cast bullets through the 45-70 encore with a 24 inch barrel, are the throated for cast bullets. do they work well with a BP load.

I have an encore barrel 18 in long I shoot as a pistol barrel. I have shot smokeless and pyrodex loads, seems to work fine for me. I have Williams sights on my barrel and it is more accurate than I can shoot.:drinks:

Your willams sight is it a peep style or something else.

T/C does not throat the 45-70 barrels. I have one but have not shot cast yet.

Bearcove, I have the Williams sight with the blade on it. It is basically the same sight TC used to put on Super 14 Contender barrels. I had my barrel throated so it works pretty good with cast and jacketed. Later:drinks:
