380681 - 250 gr. TP is 449
Hmm, cognitive dissonance, image from catalog screams ".381", while mold number sez "380". Wonder if Lyman will now add a .380 and .381 H&I die to their standard list?

Oh, darn. And for a moment there I'd quit thinking about adding a 38-55 to my stable. Already have the 449 tp anyway.:groner:

Bummer just ordered a custom accurate mold in aluminium. I think I will have to get the Lyman as well:smile:

Larry has them in stock. Wonder if Swede makes one like it? A very nice PB boolit, ideal for the liesurely 38-55 velocity. It has a nose shape designed to feed well in a levergun and hit hard. Headed for my favorite gun shop after another cup of coffee. If I come back with a 38-55 it's all your fault, ohland! ;-)

Who is Larry?
I figure as often business as I do with Larry Potterfield (Midway) we ought to be on a first name basis. ;-)

Just ordered a .381 Lyman from Buffalo Arms Co (BACO) to go with the 380681 mould coming from Midway.
Neither had brass. :-(

Amazon has them also. Thanks for the clarification on Larry!

Thanks for the tip on Amazon. Forgot to check with them in my brass search. Could have sworn it was everywhere several days ago.

Just checked and they also have released the 457130 collar button mold!
A plinking boolit for the 45-70.
Saw this one at Midway.
THANKS

Every Lyman mould I have ever had was undersized. Very disappointing.

I have a couple of Lyman moulds that drop smaller than I'd like but my most recent mould, the 375449, is a good example. It's advertised as .377-379; mine drops @ .378 w/ COWW. I wish my Lyman 45 cal rifle moulds dropped .460 boolits but they're .458-.459, just like Lyman says.

Got my 380681 today! Slow day at work so I got to fondle it a bit. My "sample" 375449 will almost drop into it, nose is a slightly different contour, 380681 seems a little fatter in the bore riding section and a slightly larger meplat. Starting to look like a hog-huntin' boolit!
Thanks for the heads up, ohland. Looks like just what I needed.

Thanks, will keep an eye out for one. I think my current 375 Win load probably needs a GC but things change....
