The company makes the A-MAZE-N-SMOKER. We are redoing the patio, the old smoker firebox is burned out so new smoker, but the vertical smoke box is pristine. I am planning to make it a cool smoker with this generator unless someone knows something beyond their adds.

I like this design for a cold smoke generator http://www.smokedaddyinc.com/cold-smokers

I got two of them, they work pretty good, the tube ones not the flat one that burns back and forth, you do have to make sure there is enough draft or it will go out, otherwise it works fine

Made my own for my electric since they don't generate smoke worth a darn. Pretty simple design made for cheap and generates smoke for about 5 hours.

This is version 1 and it was a bit too large at 2"x2". Chips burned too hot and would go from smoldering to flame constantly. Built one 1"x1" and it wouldn't stay lit. Ended up with one 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" and it's perfect. Final design has a bend in the front that runs almost to the starting point but otherwise is the same design. Water pan sits in the center.

Have it rebuilt? Know anyone that welds and/or builds stuff like pig cookers? Find a place that sells steel, bet they could turn you on to someone.

I use the AMNPS by Amazen which is considered by the die hard smokeheads as the "gold standard". Its a great product once you get the hang of it.
Call Todd the owner (952) 736-7678 he's friendly and knows his stuff.
