In 2003 I built a .40cal Isaac Haines flinter. LOVE it to bits but I don't love the 1/4X28 "removal" flash hole liner. Even with copper anti seize I have problems getting them out and I don't wind them up tight either. Anyways, Barbie at Jim Chambers is sending me a 5/16X32 vent with drill and tap. Can't wait.
I have debreech the barrel in readiness. Soaked it for Ed's Red for two days, put the 12 inch crescent on the plug with a 2 foot pipe and the plug came out real easy. No signs of rust. Very happy.
Now it's hurry up and wait.
