I've been wanting a 336 in 356, but collecters item, and prices...I only want a shooter. Another member here put me onto a 35 rem converted to 358. I know, too much pressure for the 336... I picked it up for a song, as he bought it from an estate and was leery of selling it to someone who didn't understand the limitations of the action.
Complete dis assembly and cleaning, no signs of high pressure loads, it looks good! Whats more, dummy rounds showed engraving on the rcbs mold I intend to use at the right seating depth. It looks like it was chambered with this boolit in mind. it will be a while before I get to shoot it, but I think it will be the cat's pajamas!
Special thanks to Bullshop Jr., and Sr. for letting me know what to look for for signs of abuse!

.

I'd be more/very concerned, about the NEXT person (after you're no longer around to advise) - who might try to fire commercial .358 ammo in it.
