Both targets are 6 shots the Lee 200 SWC TL and red dot after I honed the cylinder. The 45 Colt cylinder. Just 25 feet off hand but I'm happy.

Nothing wrong with 25 feet.

Many " Bad Guys " will be taken out at distances much less than 25 feet.

Good shooting! I was tickled when mine got "dimensionally corrected" too!

Congratulations!
I have a Bisley Vaquero that I fitted a 45 ACP cylinder to. I had to ream the throats out .4525" on both the 45 Colt and 45 ACP cylinders.
What a difference correcting the throats made both on accuracy and leading.
Good Luck,jmsj

When I got it a .452 XTP wouldn't fit in either cylinder I honed them and what a difference it made. I but a HIVIZ front sight on also.

Nice shooting!

I'm curious . . . I've never held a Bisley style grip but have shot a lot of SA - BP and Colt Clones. I'm considering a Bisley Style SA. How do you like the Bisley style as compared to the traditional style frame in a SA revolver? More comfortable? Easier to aim? Recoil? Your thoughts please . . . . from your targets you obviously have the aiming down pat! Thanks.

This is my first Bisley, when Ruger came out with them I thought they were the ugliest thing made. But I really like them now. You have something to hold on to. I've shot some Ruger only loads with the Colt Cylinder and it was surprisingly tame. I prefer the Bisley over the standard grip.

How did you hone the throat? I got me a Ruger New BH with 2 cylinders 45LC and 45ACP. I would like to hone both cylinders. Could you please let me know how you did it?
Thank you

I am guessing he means reaming the cylinder throats with a Manson Reamer from brownells.

I too reamed the throats on my convertible flattop 45..... Results at 50' offhand are my avatard.

Another member here loaned his reamer to me and I am eternally grateful for his generosity.

There is a member here who reams cylinders for a nominal fee since cylinder smith closed up. A quick search should reveal him since I can't recall....

The Ruger Bisley grip is the goods in SA revolver shooting!

I had a regular .44 Mag SBH (7.5" barrel) and a regular .22 Single Six (6" barrel)

The grip always felt both wrong & short.

I handled a Ruger Bisley and was hooked! I replaced both revolvers w/ Bisley gripped versions in the same barrel lengths.

The Ruger Bisley grip is a modification of the Colt Bisley. The Ruger is better IMO, due to the back strap being straighter, hump is less pronounced, and the front strap does not have the excessive flare of the Colt.

Thank you[/QUOTEI used a wooden dowel and sandpaper work from the front of the cylinder being carful not to get into the chamber. I used a .452 jacketed bullet as a gauge. This might work also.

Which HIVIZ sight are you using. I tried one on mine and everything shot too high. They said the one I had was made for a 44 mag.

Well the HIVIZ sight it the reason I went to the 200 gr. It shoots to point of aim with the rear sight all the way down using 200s. That also takes care of the side to side movement of the rear sight that most Rugers have. I got my rear sight from Brownell's here in Iowa. called and talked to their tech before I ordered and this is what they sent. But it should be taller.
