I am looking for data for a beveled base, round nose (flat tip) bullet, single lube groove. It came from a SAECO mold:

It seems identical to a Lyman mold:

I've tried one other person's suggestion, and it did not do well in my Beretta 92. I water-dropped them, then ran them through a .357 Star lube die with 50/50 lube. No Leading, just unacceptable groups, with flyers.

I used 4.1 gr of 231 behind that bullet in my Hi Power and have no complaints.

I used to use the 147 grain lead bullet in the Beretta for "minor" pin shoots. The best powder I found for that application was AA#7. And the stiff loads gave the best accuracy.

...............I've got the Lyman version. Mine drop from the mould at .357" and weigh about 150grs. I use it in my Witness in 38 Super. A superb slug with WC820 surplus! Don't guess that will help much as I assume your's is a 9x19?

I'm shooting that boolit in my Beretta 92 & Springfield XD using 5.0grs of Power Pistol. Not the best accuracy in the world but OK for plinking I guess. Sized at 357" & lubed with Carnauba Red, I get very little leading at all. They're cast from a 50/50 mix of Lino/WWs & water dropped.

Try sizing it a bit bigger. The Berettas typically have a groove diameter of .357 to .358 (mil-spec you know) and really benefit from an oversize bullet.

Try SuperMag's suggestion. I have the RCBS flat base 147 and it does right smartly in the Beretta, full size.

Hi CCD
Surprisingly, I load Lyman's 358477 SWC in 9mm. It casts out with my Lyman #2 alloy to 147 grains, which I load with 6 grains of Blue Dot. It looks really funny with its crimping grove sticking out, but it feeds flawlessly in my Ruger and performs very well.

No cast 147 grain/9mm experience here, but Jerry Miestro's 4.1 x WW-231 is an EXACT duplicator for the issued W-W sub-sonic JHP's my agency (and many others) have us using. I used the bulk W-W JHP's from Midway and OAL of 1.135", just like the store-boughts. No great shakes for stopping power, but the load is easily the most accurate factory 9mm round I've tried in a wide array of pistols.

I played around with 147's some time back out of a Browning Hipower. I was using a 147 cast commercial bullet from Kead Bullets and a 150 2R bullet from Lee. The most accurate with both bullets was 4.6 Hogdon Longshot, followed closely by 4.0/WSF, 5.1/540(HS6), 5.9/571(HS7), and 5.6 Blue Dot. All those loads are in the 950-1000 fps range.
