Hi guys, I'm loading up a bunch of ammo to take to the Linebaugh shoot next week and used up all of my 2400 loading 44 AutoMag.
I still have to load 45Colt, 475 , 500JRH, and 500 S&W.
I drove all over town and could not find any 2400. I did find a good supply of Alliant 410. Looking at some burn rate charts put it right under 2400, or just under 4198.
I looked on Alliant's webpage for 410 shotshell load data and it had some 2400 and 410 loads listed next to each other with the 410 powder charge being about 1 grain less than 2400.
I'm not looking to load any max loads, just some heavy stuff around 1000-1250fps.
Does anyone have any experience with 410?
Does it need a case full? Run at high pressures? Or can it be used for low pressure loads and partial case of powder?
TIA
