I read it in this month's issue of Predator Xtreme Magazine, page 88 under breaking news. I checked the web site but it don't look like it has been updated yet. I couldn't find it. They say it will probably be in 2009
:-D

It'd be neat if they may 7-30 waters first or 32 special with a .323 bore.

Told you so! I expect they'll be about $125.00 more than a similar old model. Still be nice if they'd continue in the direction they were going. I really liked the 25-35 long barreled jobs. Maybe the 9422 will come back too.

Here is the story

The 94
Right now, all we know is that it's coming back, built under the Winchester Repeating Arms brand. Changes? Probably some, but not a lot; it's hard to improve on one of the greatest designs ever (although I may be forced to eat some crow for this statement) You probably won't see it until 2009. All attention is on the model 70 for now, but the word is official---- on the heels of the 70, we'll see the 94 again.

There was a lot longer article about the model 70. You may keep checking www.predatorxtreme.com maybe they will post it there.

Not having Model 70s and Model 94s in production is like a hunting lodge with two empty chairs at the banquet table during dinner--the night before Opening Day.

I knew this would happen! Just like the Mod 70 going away. They were both bound to come back! The prices on both of these skyrocketed in some circles.(foolish) I prefer the Marlin anyway!!!

I have a friend that lives near that plant. He works for Grainger and knows the guy that calls on that plant for them. He's gonna have him snoop around and try to find out when and what.

I have seen Connecticut on these rifles for so long that it will be odd to see South Carolina on them. Just doesn't seem the same.

I'll take "South Carolina" over "Yokohama" any time!

One of the local Mall Ninja Emporiums (Turner's Outdoorsman, aka The Evil Empire) is showing a Winchester 22 LR bolt rifle on sale. Is this one of the new SC-based plant's products?

The Jap car companies have been getting very good quality and competitive
labor costs by building their plants in the south.

I have high hopes for quality and maybe even price at the SC location.
I just hope the knuckleheads in management get it right in the new location.
The design "improvements" that they put on my 1886 Extra Light are a real
frustration.

Al I am glad I'm not the only one that dont like that store. Seems about the only game in town where I live but I do most of my buying on line and have a FFL dealer in Murrietta order a gun for me when I want it. Everytime I have gone into that place looking for something they never have it and then try to tell me that I dont really want that anyway. Like there is anybody in there that would know a good rifle or pistol if it bit em.

Rat--

Their gun prices can be pretty good at times, and if you pay attention they do cool ammo sales from time to time. But any counter help with any ability at all gets made into managers, and managers spend most of their time perching over the cashiers' shoulders--so customers get left to the machinations of whoever is at the gun counter. And their quality is uneven, to be polite about it.

Glad to hear they are coming back and what is nice is then maybe the used prices will come back down to a normal price instead of the inflated ones we see now.

on the heels of the 70, we'll see the 94 again.

Ahhh. OK, they are going to have the new employees practice on the turnbolts first. Then after they prove they can do the job, they'll make Levers.

I want some M92s, and good take down M94s please....
