With these two it also appears to be an excellent way to learn how to do field dressing of deep cuts to hands/fingers. Made me cringe a little watching.

Have a few. Back in the day there used to be one or two in the case with the two cans.

Just would like to suggest an old fashioned G.I. can opener. It came with MRE's and or C rations or you could buy one for ten cents or a quarter. Has a hole in it so it fits on a key ring as well. LLS

Because the top of the can seal was cut through instead of the part a normal opener cuts there are no real sharp edges. But I do know what you mean about the cringe worthy moment when they are squeezing the sides of the tuna cans... On another note. As a tuna can has no seal on the bottom you can melt lead in it over a fire and pour boolits right there, only a few at a time, but if it is the zombie apocalypse and you are worried about your cat surviving, it can be done.

While I don't doubt that a P-51 or P-38 can openner would work I prefer the original issue with my ammo cans
