usually the screws are made out of a high strength bronze. And set up just like your tires with tapered shaft and a honkin big nut to keep it in place. Our carrier lost three blades off #1 screw during our westpac cruise. Frank

Just after graduating from high school a couple of my buddies and I moved into an apartment together. One of my buds worked at the Michigan Wheel factory repairing these big propellers in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I would take him supper sometimes as he worked swing shift and me days. It was interesting seeing those huge props.

Too bad someone can't tow it out eand make an artificial reef of it. Divers from all over the world would show up. They are missing a big opportunity
