All,
I was wondering what you guys think of using a Lee 41 magnum 210 grain SWC (90335) sized down for 10mm. This will strictly be powdercoated, never lubed. I was thinking that I would be able to get away with this for that fact. Your thoughts?

You want to reduce this boolit from .410 to .401? Send it thru a push thru die that will reduce it to .400. After you powder coat it, it should be the right diameter for your 10mm.

Yes, I'd like to send it through my Lee .401 sizing die. Do you think I could shoot the result from a Glock 20 accurately and reliably?

I'd advise a step sizing procedure. At the very least, size before and after PC.

I was planning on it.

Groo here
Don't take this the wrongway but Why?
Unless you are shooting a revolver [ there I would use 38-40 bullets]
it id not hard to get 10mm/40 bullets with a flat nose of that size and weight.
Suggest SNS bullets [ their 41 swc is most accurate] in 40/10mm and 220gr...

The answer would be cost. I can get the Lee mold for $25. I'm actually thinking that the 195 grain SWC (90330) might be a better choice. Even though it loses 15 grains of weight, it has a larger meplat with slightly greater velocity. The intent here is a cheap mold for woods carry bullets.

No reason it will not work, I don't PC so I cannot speak to that, however I have sized them down both cast and jacketed, I use a .406, .403, and then a .401 (have to for jacketed). Keep in mind that you will soften the lead by sizing it down that much.

I'm tracking that. I think that powdercoating will alleviate the ill-effects of softening it.

I have run a bunch of commercial cast 210 grain 41's thru a .401 Lee die to get a heavier bullet for my 38-40. The lube groove gets a bit thin on mine but they work, but the PC should make that a non issue.
As a side note, I looked that bullet up and in fact have that mold. I have not read very deeply into the PC thing but that TL bullet will be a slick shank when you size it down to .401.
