Hadley & Lyman Adj. Eye Discs

Does anyone know anything about the period correctness of either of these?

I've exhausted my searches and have drawn a blank.

Are they from the 1880's or much later?

Hadley's Combination Eye Piece was patented on May 17, 1887. The turn down peep insert on the Lyman sight showed up in the catalog in 1889 or thereabouts.
