Howdy, I was sent over here by TommyT from surplusrifle and man, were you guys ever a help already! Tried my hand at casting my first bullets today and it went very well thanks to the FAQs you guys have. Of course, lots of mistakes that went back into the pot, but overall I was doing pretty well. Thanks again, Deke

Welcome Deacon.
Not worth it? Then they have never had a milsurp with a very oversize barrel that will not shoot factory ammo come to life with a fitted cast boolit. It not only saves you money but there is something almost spiritual about casting your own and the whole processof lubing, sizing, loading and shooting your creation. I have come to ubderstand my firearms much better and each has its own preferenceof boolits, loads etc. I am gratified and sometimes humbled by this obsession. J

Welcome, Deacon. As you learn and grow in this arcane pursuit there will come a day when a shooter at the next bench will admire the small group you have just shot wth cast boolits. At that time it will be your duty and pleasure to look bored and say, "Yeah, not too bad for old wheel weights."
