Folks here is the skinny on this. Look at this link http://www.co4hshooting.org/misc/2014-RafflePoster.pdf

I am representing our club "Elk Creek 4H" as a shooting sports leader. I have checked out 200 tickets in my name to sell on behalf of the kids. The tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 (you get one free). Here is the breakdown:

The club keeps half of what we sell meaning the club I represent, the other half goes to the Colorado 4-H Foundation Extension office to help keep 4H alive. This is a major fundraiser for the state and for my kids in general. We hope to buy more equipment and it pays for many other club activities

The tickets are serial numbered and I would send you the major portion and the stub with all your personal contact information would be retained to place into the drawing. I keep track on a separate sheet with your information and serial number as a double check system.

The prizes are listed on that link and again it is $5 bucks each or 5 (five) for $20 dollars. Any questions you can PM me, and thanks for consideration of helping these kids keep our sport alive into the next generation.

How this works is you send me a PM with your desired amount and it can be paid Money Order, discreet Paypal. Upon payment I will send you the serial numbered section and I will scan and send the portion I fill out with the matching serial number that will be entered into the drawing. Also if your half should get lost in the mail (ya right they never lose anything) then it will not matter due to the double check system.

Information to include Please!

Name
Address
Phone Number
personal email address

This is to be certain we can contact you should you be blessed with the winning ticket! With server problems and such I want to be certain I have all the information filled in on your stub![/B][/B]

Thank you all for your time and I know I can speak for the kids when I say thanks from them.

Frog

PS I have permission of Oneokie (Nolan) to post this

Fellow 4-H Shooting Sports adviser here as well. If you are looking for some other options for fundraising, let me know. My wife is also an adviser and has come up with a couple good ideas since our Extension Office has basically nixed raffles unless they are run by the conservation club that hosts our club.

I hope you were able to jump on the ATK ammo program offered in March. We were at the point of talking about limiting the amount of shooting to 30 rds per kid per week until we took delivery of 15K Blazer .22. We paid 160/case shipped since we had a problem getting the tax exempt info and had to act quick since the program only had a two week submission window.

Good luck with the raffle.

HELLO !

Katy is the leader of our little club and we always like new ideas! We just had dinner at her house and brainstormed last night because one of the fundraisers we do annually was taken to another town 300 miles away!

Yes she was able to secure that ammo buy for the kids so they will be able to shoot well into the next year, at least 22 LR.

We set up at a medium size gun show last year and this year. The promoter donated the table and admission fees for all the parents. We did this in May last year and raised about600 bucks. This year we did it in April and raised 1,400. If you know a promoter, it's a great way to raise cash with little risk. The other cool thing was seeing kids who were afraid to "ask" for money from people passing by grow in their confidence. There were two kids who could get people to donate that had just told the first kid who asked "no".

The other fundraiser is called Scratch and Help. http://www.scratchandhelp.com/

There is a cost up front, we paid in the 250-260 range for 14 booklets, but we generally pull in about 500-600 over the initial cost. There is also some leg work if you want to use local merchants in the coupon offers. But, because these are donations, there is no 500 dollar limit.

Got the Pm's and answered them. Thank you fellas because the club really needs this fund raiser badly. Wife and I are going to do a shooting club in efforts to sell some more raffle tickets on Saturday.

Folks sales are not going so well. Family is going to a range in town in hopes to bolster raffle ticket sales. Our club literally only has 700 dollars on the books while larger clubs have 10,000 dollars on the books. We don't need that kind of wealth, just enough to buy ammo, targets and such as well as sponsors kids that do not have the money to participate (single mom or dad with short or no funds). Also, one of our muzzleloaders is in need of repair. I am limited on how much I can say at work (gov't employee) so I can not solicite there, but I do sneak in a conversation. Again we are a small country club competing with the large city clubs. Thanks much.

Bump a roo ! Had a fantastic weekend and the club sold about 250 dollars in raffle tickets at a new gun club. I have never seen a 10 million dollar gun club before and it was all indoor and very very impressive :)

This is the last month we are selling raffle tickets and the drawing is September 1st. We got a good sales on Saturday but not nearly enough. I only checked out 200 tickets and I think I just sold half/100 in the two months I have been trying. Good cause folks.

'frog, your mailbox is full, I can't PM you, but I'd like it if you'd enter me in the raffle for the sum we've talked about in the past - make some space in your PM mailbox and I'll try to get to you that way tomorrow if this isn't clear. Best wishes!
