I just made a deal with a guy in France to sell him a mold. He says he has received molds from the US before no problem. I see on the USPS site "arms and ammunition" are prohibited for shipment but didn't see anything about reloading equipment. From what I can tell most countries allow reloading equipment to be shipped in with no restrictions. Anybody know for sure if this is kosher?

No problem exporting reloading tools from the US.

I've had presses, dies, gas checks, brass, gunsmith tools, etc, etc, shipped to me in Oz with absolutely no issues.

To make sure no-one will even take a second glance at the package, just put "hand tool" on the manifest.

I sold an Ideal Mold/reloading tool on Ebay that went to France. I shipped it to the Int'l Shipping Center and they handled the paperwork. Other than that I'm Sgt Schwartz. I know nothing......

Sounds good. What is the International Shipping Center?

You won't need it for sending a mold.

Just take it to the post office, fill in the international customs slip, pay your money and it will be good to go.

I have shipped group buy molds to a number of European countries, France included. No problems at all. Use the Clik-n-ship (https://www.usps.com/ship/ship-a-package.htm) feature on the USPS.com website for easy labels.

FWIW, I sent one to Moscow. Just put "double cavity mold" on the customs declaration and it delivered within three weeks. Even got a confirmation number from the Russian postal service. Shipped it in a small flat rate box at the international rate; ~$30 iirc.

With all this casting equipment going to France, they should be starting a French cast boolits site in Paris.

We should send in Col. Hogan and his team, with a whole lot of shock-o-laat and silk stockings, to get them pointed in the right direction.
