I recently picked up an American made Stoeger Luger. The pistol works great and I really enjoy shooting it. My question, for any Stoeger/Erma experts out there is, are the part from the German made Erma interchangeable with the Stoeger? I have a chance to get an Erma with a broken receiver/frame for a parts gun and just need to know if it would be worth having around.

I saw somewhere that the mags are NOT suppose to interchange so I am leery about the rest of the parts.

I have a Stoeger Luger in stainless steel that was made in Texas by Aimco. Is this the Stoeger Luger you have? If it is I would doubt the Erma parts would fit.

but the American-made Stoeger Luger is a .22, with a straight blowback action and false toggles for cosmetics. The Erma Lugers (.22 and .380) have toggles much like the true Luger: the parts are not interchangeable.

My American made Stoeger Luger is 9mm parabellum and toggles as it is supposed to.

The Stoeger that I had was made to shoot, the Erma was made to look like a Luger but if it worked it was just luck. The two are completely different.
