would it be worthwhile to rebarrel a SP101 from 3" to 4" or just by a 4" GP
if you had this done what did it cost

Saw one in a lgs the other day. They wanted over $600.00 for it.

Not sure what you would gain by rebarreling an SP, other than having a modern 5 shot equivalent of a Service-Six with a peg style grip frame? Unless you want to avoid the larger overall diameter of the cylinder, I would think that the GP offers much the same as the SP platform and the GP could be obtained for a reasonable cost. The GP is noticeably larger overall than the SP but the SP is not exactly small to start with. They are both excellent guns and I like both the SP & GP models, but if I was going to step up to a 4" tube I would rather have the two guns than one long barreled SP. Just my opinion.
