I have a good thing going with a local tire shop. I bring one of the salesman a few boxes of 9mm, he gives me access to the tire weights. The last visit was approximately 3 months ago. This morning, I show up at approximately 0730 hours. I bring him 4 boxes of 9mm. He tells me, he has ten boxes of weights from his Slidell, LA store in the back and has been expecting me to show up soon. The short version of the story is, they have the other store bring them their weights to the Baton Rouge location and then add them to what I pick up. I netted 4 full 5 gallon buckets and 10 small boxes of lead weights. The lead to steel ratio is excellent. I estimate that I picked up over 700 lbs of tire weights today. Monday evening I will be dropping off some pizza to those guys.
